Safe Standard does not replace your booking process. The booking can happen through your own website, email, phone, social media or another channel. Safe Standard is used to keep the documentation around the rental together.
Four parts keep the documentation connected.
Start with the agreement and rental terms. Then document what is handed over and what happens when the rented item is returned.
Handover
Document condition, photos, keys, accessories and what is actually handed over.
Damage
Document new damage, missing items, photos and anything that needs follow-up.

Safe Standard was built by Erica Nordlöf.
I built Safe Standard as a practical software project focused on real-world workflows: documentation, rental cases, license-controlled access and structured direct rentals.
The project remains available for free use while also serving as a working example of what I build as a full-stack developer.
